I really love this reminder of the importance and necessity of editing.

The act of writing can be a breathless rush of ideas, words or themes that flow from the mind to the fingers to the keys (or pen) to paper. When the muse speaks and the magic works, it&#039;s bliss. 

Editing is the sculpting and polishing that&#039;s required to  make the words sparkle, shine and sing. Editing is work. And for many, it&#039;s no fun.
