I'm thinking more in terms of personality types and emotional habits than I am men/women. Maybe that wasn't clear. The bit from Mating in Captivity really spoke to me - like, OF COURSE. This (avoidance, retreating) isn't a thing that men inherently do. This is what the men I pick do. Because OF COURSE I'm attracted to guys who do that - they're my inverse.
