You are so special, I know you think you are to skinny, you’re not. You have a smokin’ bod. Also despite that fact that you are frequently grumpy (or maybe because of it) I want to spend loads of time with you and listen to your funny interesting stories and witty comments. Your smile makes all of my insidey parts melt. I like that you didn’t feel it was necessary to go to university after high school but you still read Kirkegaard (I don’t think that many construction workers do that). I love that you drink bourbon and smoke a pipe and wear cardigans and that you have a love hate relationship with your cat (who is a lot like you by the way). Also I love your dreadlocks. What I’m trying to say is I like all of your idiosyncratic bits and pieces and I love the beautiful whole that is created out of them. I LOVE YOU!

Remember when we first fell in love and how magical everything was?
Years have flown past and now a comfortable kind of peace has set in about us.
Is it wrong to not feel the sparks that we felt so long ago?
Or perhaps this is the way things are supposed to be…slowing down with time.
One moment I miss the young man you were and the next I’m so relieved you are the man I know today.
I do miss those passionate times and I’m sure you must as well.
Will we ever be in that place again my love?
Or do we just enjoy where we are now?

Alas, once again, I do not have a Valentine…other than my 11 yr old, 2 felonius felines & 1 aging very loyal canine.
