I have read both Waldman and Lewis’s books and found them both funny and somewhat cynical.

And I agree wholeheartedly with your thesis about what we need to do and the terribly, insidiously toxic lessons we are teaching our children about the roles the genders play. The problem is I don’t know HOW to do what you so rightly say we need to do. If you figure it out, let me know. I’m listening!

This is a great posting. I’ve learned since adopting my little girl 4 months ago all about how motherhood tends to….well….suck sometimes.

Let’s just say that day care has been my salvation. However, I treasure my little one with all my heart.

The hardest part about navigating motherhood, to me, are the scorekeepers who judge one’s ability as a mother.
