Recently, over in these parts an artist called Tony Hart died. He was 82, I think, and he was omnipresent on telelvision when I was a child/teenager. He did art everywhere, using any kmaterials he could find – truly inspirational stuff. Though, my abiding memory of him is that he said that is a child ever shows you a picture you should always say ‘now you tell me about your picture.’

On the Obama note, I really love Michelle Obama. She is the real deal. Smart, beautiful, well spoken, educated and I think one of the best female role models that walks our planet today. When she was in town with Barack for the G20 she gave a speech at an all girl’s, multicultural and successful High school in North London.
